How The ON-Line Courses Work
Walter Smith & Associates, Inc. provides the on demand on-line one hour course to keep the stack samplers (and the QI and QSTI/QSTOs) up to date with the USEPA Methods. The courses also provide one hour credit credits as part of the ASME D7036 continuing education requirements.
Once you register for a specific subject and pay by credit card (VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express) for the cost of the course you will be given 24 hour use the content and Quiz. This is for your use for this course, only, and you may not copy or save this content. However, you will be given Takeaway material for your future use once you satisfactorily complete the workshop Quiz.
Once you complete the content of the workshop you will be given a Quiz and if you get at least 70% on the Quiz you will receive the one hour Stack Sampling Continuing Hour Credit (SSCHC). If you fail to get 70% you may retake the Quiz after returning to the content. You will be given the Quiz again until you pass the minimum of 70%. A record will be kept for your use at Walter Smith & Associates, Inc. and a certificate will be sent to you stating that you have satisfactorily met the requirements of this workshop.
Upon receiving the certificate and the take away material, you may copy it for only your future use .
You may not copy the content or Quiz. All the content and the Quiz are copyrighted and your identification is imbedded in the content and Quiz, if copied. Anyone using this information without express written consent will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and reported to the ethics committees of STAC and SES.

The process is as follows:
- Pick a specific workshop from the list.
- Register for the on demand one hour workshops and pay for it with a credit card.
- Receive the workshop content for your use only.
- Take the quiz. If you do not get at least 70% return to step 3.
- Receive by email the certificate and the takeaway material for satisfactorily completing this specific workshop.
Note: you may recycle back to step 1 at any time during the 24 hour period.
There are 2 categories, T and Q. Category T is about Training courses that are about Stack Sampling for both novice and experienced testers or observers. Category Q is about Training courses for the Preparation for the SES QSTI/QSTO Exams.
Each one hour course will be worth one hour of study for credit for continuing training that is required by the ASTM D7036 standard for Air Emission Testing Bodies and can be used for credit to other organizations. New courses will be continually be added to the list. The plan is to write at least 2 new courses a month. The courses that are available are in bold.
